You can’t discuss museums in Washington, DC without first mentioning The Smithsonian. The Smithsonian represents the majority of Washington’s collection of museums. As of today, there are 19 museums and art galleries, and the National Zoological Park!

The Smithsonian museums like the well-known Air and Space, American History Museum, Natural History Museum, and the Postal Museum are great places to visit while on your field trip. These are collections of education exhibits that cover a variety of topics. No trip to Washington would be complete without a trip to the Smithsonian Museums.
