Washington Nationals – DC’s MLB Team

The Washington Nationals are the most recent professional sports team to come to DC.  Actually, there is a long history of baseball in DC, but there was a long time when there was no baseball played in DC. Most of the region’s baseball fans would tune in to watch the Baltimore Orioles, but only with some loyalty.

in 2005, the expansion of the MLB led to the creation of the Washington Nationals, and the city rejoiced in having baseball return to DC. The nationals play in Nationals Park, which is a new stadium constructed just for the Nats!  Happy to have a local team, DC residents and visitors can enjoy pro baseball in our hometown!
