The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

What a great field trip to Washington, DC – Visiting the Smithsonian Museums! There is so much to see and experience with this kind of educational trip; students can walk around and get up close to important pieces of history.

The most popular museum is the Air and Space Museum, which houses the famous rockets and airplanes that we read about in the history books – you can see many of the components and parts that made the space flight program and NASA work… literally taking our astronauts to the moon and back.

There is an IMAX theatre inside the air and space museum, which features daily showings and films on space history and more.
